Use this guide to find a Wevolt charger near you, check its real-time status, and navigate directly to it from the app.
Open the map
Launch the Wevolt App and tap the Map tab. The map centres on your current location and shows every public charger nearby. Pinch to zoom out and see chargers across a wider area, or drag the map to look ahead along your route.
Use the search bar at the top of the map to jump to a suburb, address, or landmark. This is the quickest way to plan ahead before you set off.
What each charger status means
Each pin on the map shows the current status of that charger:
- Available — ready to use right now.
- In Use — a session is currently active. The listing usually shows how long it has been running.
- Unavailable — the charger is online but not accepting new sessions (for example, the operator has paused it).
- Offline — the charger has lost connectivity. It cannot be started until it comes back online.
If a charger you wanted is Offline or Unavailable, the map will usually show other options nearby. Tap any pin to see details.
If a charger you regularly use has been Offline or Unavailable for an extended period, check our Charging station status updates page. It lists sites with known issues, expected resolution times, and what to do in the meantime.
Filter by connector, speed, or price
Tap the filter icon on the map to narrow the results. You can filter by:
- Connector type — CCS2 (DC fast), Type 2 (AC fast), or AC tethered.
- Charging speed — for example, only show DC fast chargers above a certain kW rating.
- Price — show chargers within your preferred tariff range.
Filters are useful when you only want chargers that match your vehicle and your hurry. Clear the filters at any time to see the full map again.
View a charger and get directions
Tap any pin to open the charger listing. The listing shows:
- Charger name, address, and Charger ID
- Available connectors and whether a cable is provided
- Current tariff (energy cost) and any idle fee
- Operating hours, photos, and access notes
- A Help button with the site operator’s contact details
Tap Get Directions (or the navigation icon) to open the location in your phone’s default maps app and drive straight there.
Once you arrive, see How to start a charge for the steps to begin your session.
What if there are no chargers nearby?
- Zoom out. Pinch the map to expand the area and reveal chargers further afield.
- Search ahead. Use the search bar to look at the suburb or town you’re heading to, and plan a stop there.
- Adjust your filters. If you’ve filtered to a specific connector or speed, loosening the filter may reveal more options.
Some chargers are private
A small number of chargers on the Wevolt Network are private — for example, fleet depots, workplaces, or residential strata sites. These don’t appear on the public map unless you’ve been granted access by the site operator.
